Description

A herbal and nutrient formulation that assists the production of thyroid hormones and supports normal thyroid function. L-Tyrosine is a precursor for thyroid hormones whilst iodine is essential for normal thyroid function. Guggulipid extract is a resin produced by mukul myrrh tree used to stimulate thyroid function.

SOLAL® does not use animal glandulars.

Product Composition

Each capsule contains the following active ingredients:

L-tyrosine 267mg
Gugulipid extract 250mg
Iodine 33μg

Inactive ingredients: Hypromellose, magnesium stearate, magnesium silicate

Allergens: Iodine

Sugar-free.
Suitable for vegetarians.

Pharmacological Action

Tyrosine is a precursor for thyroid hormones such as thyroxine, and therefore may be used as a supplement in those with hypothyroidism. Iodine is essential for normal thyroid function. It is a constituent of the thyroid hormones thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3), which are produced by the thyroid gland. Guggulipid extract is a resin produced by mukul myrrh tree and may stimulate thyroid function.

Dosage Directions

Adults 18 years and older:
Take 3 capsules in the morning 30 minutes before breakfast.

Do not use this product if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to any of the ingredients. If you are on any medication or suffering from any medical condition, it is advisable to seek medical advice before starting any new medicine, supplement or remedy. Do not exceed recommended dosages unless on the advice of a healthcare practitioner. This medicine has not been evaluated by the Medicines Control Council. This medicine is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Individuals following a low protein diet should consult their healthcare practitioner prior to use.

Side Effects

Side effects may include symptoms of gastrointestinal upset such as loose stools and diarrhoea.

Contraindications

Individuals suffering from hormone sensitive cancers should not use this product.

Interactions

Oestrogens: Theoretically, concomitant use of SOLAL® ThyroPlex might increase the adverse effects of hormone replacement therapy through oestrogen alpha receptor agonist activity.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Not safe for use during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding.
