Description
Botanical name: Beta Vulgaris
Beetroot are light coloured, rough textured seeds.
They have a mild earthy taste, wonderful colour, and bright red sprouts, that grow into beautiful lime green microgreens with deep red veins. Sprouts best in warm temperatures.
Nutritional Value: Very low in Saturated Fat and Cholesterol. It is also good source of Vitamin C, Iron and Magnesium, and a very food source of Dietary Fibre, Folate, Potassium and Manganese, however, a large portion of the calories in this food come from sugars.
Germination: 6 to 8 days depending on growing conditions.
