This is a homoeopathic medicine which assists in soothing the respiratory mucosa for treatment of:
• wet cough
• loose, productive cough
Composition
Each 1ml of liquid contains:
Arsenicum iodatum D10
Corallium rubrum D30
Cuprum aceticum D10
Drosera rotundifolia Spag D3
Lycopodium clavatum D30
Spongia tosta D4
Sticta pulmonaria D4
Preservative: 20% Alcohol
Homoeophatic Mode of Action
Arsenicum iodatum acts on the mucous membranes to help treat hacking cough, blocked nose and ears, chronic bronchitis and broncho-pneumonia. Expectoration is difficult but might be profuse and purulent.
Corallium rubrum acts on the mucous lining of the respiratory system as a decongestant and expectorant to treat hawking of profuse mucous, profuse nasal mucous, post nasal drip, nosebleeds and rapid bouts of whoop-like and spasmodic cough with expectoration of blood, a sensation of smothering and exhaustion thereafter.
Cuprum aceticum is indicated for violent cough spasms leading to angina pain, short difficult respiration, for tenacious mucous with a feeling of suffocation and burning hayfever.
Drosera rotundifolia acts on the respiratory tract to relieve choking cough, laryngeal irritation and yellow expectoration.
Lycopodium clavatum acts on the respiratory tract to relieve tickling deep hollow cough especially at night with rattling mucous, dyspnoea and constrictive burning chest pain. It helps expel thick, grey, purulent, salty mucous. It is indicated for profuse chesty mucous in infants and in pneumonia.
Spongia tosta acts on the respiratory tract to relieve post nasal drip, croupy cough and bronchial mucous.
Sticta pulmonaria acts on the respiratory system to treat mucous build-up with post nasal drip, bronchial irritation and cough which is dry and hacking at night and loose in the morning.
Dosage and Directions
10 drops directly on the tongue or diluted in a little water 3 times daily. May be taken hourly in acute cases while symptoms are severe. Infants: dilute with water and leave to stand for a short time before administering. Reduce dosage with improvement of symptoms.
