Description
Santa Anna’s – Organic Corn Chips 250g
Organic Corn Tortilla Chips begin with locally sourced, certified organic corn. Through an age-old Mesoamerican technique, we soak the corn in lime to enhance its nutrients. The corn is then ground into masa using volcanic stones. Shaped into triangles, these mini tortillas are baked, fried in organic coconut oil, and seasoned with pure Kalahari Desert salt. Proudly South Africa’s first certified organic corn tortilla chips, our product stands out for its size, light yet crispy texture, and robustness – perfect for scooping up generous amounts of guacamole, salsa, or your favourite dip. They’re also ideal for creating delicious nachos.

Brief history:
Santa Anna’s started in 2012 in South Africa when two chef friends teamed up at a food stall to make and sell authentic Mexican‑style street food because traditional corn tortillas and chips weren’t available locally.
From that beginnings, they began making their own tortillas and frying them into corn chips, focusing on authentic methods like nixtamalization (an ancient Mesoamerican corn‑processing technique) and using organic, non‑GMO ingredients with a commitment to sustainability.
As demand grew, the founders left their chef jobs, set up a small factory in Gordon’s Bay, and later expanded the business. By 2019 they produced South Africa’s first certified organic corn chip range, and have continued to grow, adding team members and new product lines such as salsas and flavoured chips — all while sticking to authentic, additive‑free products with locally sourced corn.
In short, Santa Anna’s grew from a small street‑food idea into a well‑known South African brand that brings Mexican‑inspired, organic corn snacks to local and international markets, rooted in traditional methods and environmental values.
