Tasectan is a medical device designed to help restore the natural function of the intestinal wall and reduce the symptoms of acute diarrhea in adults and adolescents (14 years+).

Its active ingredient, gelatin tannate, works by forming a protective film on the intestinal mucosa. This protective layer helps reduce irritation, shortens the duration of diarrhea, and supports the recovery of normal gut balance.

How it works:

Tasectan works via a physical/“mechanical” mechanism rather than via antimicrobial or pharmacological action:

1. Gelatin tannate (the active ingredient) forms a thin protective biofilm (or “mantle”) over the intestinal mucosa.

2. This film helps protect the intestinal wall, reducing irritation and inflammation.

3. It also helps reduce the duration and frequency of diarrhea episodes, and promotes restoration of normal gut function.
