Botanical name: Hordeum Vulgare
Barley kernels produce a broad blade grass with a light green colour. It is extremely nutritious in the form of raw juice, however a special juicer is required for this. The juice has a very potent flavour, so adding fruit or vegetable juice will make it more enjoyable.
Nutritional Value: Barley Grass is a good source of Protein and Potassium, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E (Alpha Tocopherol), Vitamin K, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Pantothenic Acid, Iron, Zinc, Copper, Manganese and Selenium.
Germination: 1-3 days depending on growing conditions.
